The building located at 26 Mississippi Avenue, Crystal City, Missouri was originally built in 1924 and served as the administrative and executive offices of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, later called PPG. After the glass factory closed in 1991, the building changed hands several times, serving many purposes over the years, such as an antique mall, housing the Crystal City Historical Society, as a residential care facility, as well as laying vacant. 

In 2024, Crystal City's "Mrs. Heather" finally achieved her goal of purchasing the building and began its transformation. Today, the building proudly serves the city as a beautiful and unique gathering spot. Offering three venues to the community:

1. The Crystal Shard - an event center focused upon honoring the past and celebrating the future.
2. The Project - a community center and creative space committed to building relationships and serving the community.
3. The Painted Garden - a dawn-to-dusk, community garden dedicated to encouraging peace, tranquility, and creativity.
